ANY QUESTIONS
FAQ
- Where are you located?
- We’re based in Barcelona, Spain (CET – Central European Time). While we work on CET hours, we regularly collaborate with agencies, production companies, and directors from all over the world. Not only do we manage time zone differences, but we also turn them into an advantage, ensuring smooth and efficient communication.
- What are your rates?
- Feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to send you our current year’s rate card with all the details tailored to your needs.
- When do you send the research?
- We always deliver the first batch of references at the end of the day, following an initial briefing with the director and the agency. For most projects, we recommend dedicating two full days to research to ensure all visual needs are met. Our e-Pro package is typically sufficient for most projects. It includes two days of reference research and one day of interactive layout design in InDesign.
- What kind of references do you use for visuals?
- We adapt completely to the director’s brief. Some projects call for sleek, commercial-style visuals, while others lean more cinematic. For certain treatments, we might focus on fashion-forward imagery or even draw from stock video sources. In some cases, we use AI-generated visuals to achieve a very specific or unique result. It all depends on the project and what best brings the director’s vision to life.
- What software do you use for layouts?
- We primarily work with Adobe InDesign, as it’s the industry standard and the tool we highly recommend for its precision and flexibility. However, we’re happy to adapt to Keynote or Google Slides if needed, ensuring smooth collaboration with your preferred platform.
- When do you deliver the layout?
- Once we’ve gathered the director’s selected references and finalized the text, we prepare and send out the first version (V1) of the layout. As long as the material is sent to us on time and the treatment isn’t excessively long, we commit to delivering the first version (V1) with at least three hours available for feedback and revisions. This ensures there’s enough time to make adjustments and refine the final product. Our goal is always to provide a smooth, efficient process that allows the treatment to reach its full potential.
- How do you handle feedback?
- We always recommend that the director sends their changes either marked directly on a PDF or structured in an email or text document, clearly numbered by page. While live sessions via Zoom or similar platforms can work for last-minute adjustments or small edits, we generally advise against making changes one by one in real time, as important details can easily get overlooked. Having written feedback ensures that our Head of Projects or Head of Design can cross-check versions and track all adjustments accurately. This approach guarantees consistency and minimizes the risk of errors, delivering a polished final result.
- Do you adapt treatments for mobile?
- While PDFs and InDesign links are always viewable on mobile devices, we’ve occasionally been asked to create a simplified online version of the treatment. This is designed for quick and easy access to the text and visuals. In these cases, we create a password-protected landing page where all the content is organized for mobile viewing, ensuring the privacy and security of the project. To proceed, we require the finalized treatment with approval from all parties, and there is an additional cost for this service. While not always necessary, having the treatment simplified and accessible on your phone can be incredibly convenient. If the project and timeline allow, we’re happy to create a mobile version tailored to your needs.
- How long is your workday?
- Both research and layout follow standard working hours. You’ll have a dedicated researcher or designer focused solely on your project throughout the day. If extra hours are required for specific projects, a designer will always be available. However, any work after 8:00 PM CET will incur additional costs.
- How is your team structured?
- We work exclusively with our in-house team, except in very specific cases. Collaboration is key to our process, ensuring researchers and designers are in close contact from the beginning. This approach guarantees a more cohesive and polished final result.
- How long does it take to complete a treatment?
- Our ideal timeline is three days: two for research and one for layout after the final text and selected visuals are ready. But we know this industry doesn’t always follow the plan, so we’re fully prepared to adapt to any deadline. When time is tight, we can handle research and layout simultaneously. Our team works together in the same workspace, meaning the designer and researcher are in constant communication from the very start. This collaboration saves valuable time and ensures we deliver a polished result, even under the tightest schedules.
- Do you offer weekend or holiday services?
- Yes, we do offer services on weekends and Spanish national holidays. However, please note that these come with an additional cost. If you require our team’s availability during these times, we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs while ensuring the timeline is met. Let us know in advance so we can organize the schedule accordingly.
- Last-minute or next-day changes
- We understand that revisions from the agency or client may come after delivery, and we’re here to help. To guarantee full availability, it’s always best to book the day following delivery in advance, ensuring we can dedicate the necessary time to any adjustments. For unexpected changes, we offer an hourly rate, subject to designer availability, starting from the moment the work begins. If the revisions exceed 4 hours, the full-day rate will apply. This flexible approach ensures your treatment gets the attention it deserves, even when changes come at the last minute.
- Do you provide open files?
- Yes, we always deliver open files properly packaged, including all links and fonts, at no additional cost. Whether you’d like to make the changes yourself or simply prefer to have the open files for flexibility, we’ll send them without hesitation. From InDesign to Google Slides or Keynote, you’ll receive everything fully organized and ready for seamless adjustments.
- Do you sell templates?
- In certain cases, when timelines are extremely tight and there isn’t enough time to gather all the necessary materials, we can create a custom-made template. This would include a layout designed specifically for the brand and campaign, but without images, using placeholder text such as “lorem ipsum.” While this isn’t a standard service and we only offer it in exceptional circumstances, it can be a viable solution when no other options are available. Our goal is always to adapt and find the best way to meet your needs, even under tight deadlines.
